Biography
The Jardine Engineering Corporation was formed in 1923 for the importation of machinery into China. It replaced Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd's Engineering Department, which had performed this role previously. The corporation's Head Office was at Shanghai, and branch offices were established at Chungking, Hankow, Hong Kong, Nanking and Tientsin.
