Scope and Contents
An unsigned typescript memorandum from the Engineering Department, Shanghai, 2 March 1922, 22 pages, regarding the future of the department, written in the period immediately preceding the creation of the Jardine Engineering Corporation Ltd. There is also a covering typescript letter from 'J.F.', Chipping Campden, to Alan [Reid], 22 March 1976, which indicates that the author of the memorandum is probably Geo. S. Aveyard.
