Lionel Edgar Charles Letts joined Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd in the 1930s and was employed as an executive in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. He became a Director of Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd in 1959, and Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd in 1961. He resigned in 1970.
