Scope and Contents
Semi-official N.C. correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and Jardine Matheson, Tokyo, Jardine Waugh (Singapore) Ltd and Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, with some enclosed letters and papers, regarding Jardine Waugh Ltd's proposed involvement with the Nippon Coal Mining Co. Ltd in the mining of coal in Sarawak for consumption in Japan. The semi-official letters to Hong Kong are originals; the other semi-official letters are copies.
