Biography
Lionel Edgar Charles Letts joined Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd in the 1930s and was employed as an executive in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. He became a Director of Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd in 1959, and Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd in 1961. He resigned in 1970.

Copies of semi-official N.C. letters nos 1-7 from E.F. Watts, Jardine Matheson, Tokyo, to L.E.C. Letts, Jardine Waugh (Singapore) Ltd. The semi-official N.C. correspondence concerns Jardine Waugh Ltd's proposed involvement with the Nippon Coal Mining Co. Ltd in the mining of coal in Sarawak for consumption in Japan.
