Puppet Neck Size List, c mid-1990s
A file containing a list of puppets, in alphabetical order, which details their neck sizes in inches. This list is handwritten. However, parts of it appears to be photocopies of an earlier list, and further names have been added to these photocopies using different ink-coloured pens. The puppets listed were used in Spitting Image and other Spitting Image Productions Limited activities.

A collection of puppets, puppet heads and small hand puppets used in the British satirical television series, Spitting Image.
The vast majority of puppets from that show were sold at two auctions, held by Sotheby's, in 2000 and 2001. The puppets of Diana, Princess of Wales, and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother were not put up for sale, on the request of the royal family.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip Slippers, 1988
A large pair of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh 'Sleeping Partners' slippers, designed by Spitting Image Production Limited's David Stoten, and made by Linden Cards and Gifts Limited (SI/439). Each slipper resembles a bed, with a plastic head of the Queen residing on the end of one slipper and the head of Prince Philip on the other.
Queen Elizabeth II Bendy Finger Puppet, c late 1980s
A Spitting Image finger puppet of Queen Elizabeth II's face, made out of foam rubber, housed in its original packaging. The item has been manufactured by Bendy Toys, under licence from Spitting Image Productions Limited.
Three other finger puppets were made for SIPL, bearing the faces of the following: Prince Charles [now King Charles III], Margaret Thatcher, and Ronald Reagan. They are not represented in the archive.
Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Teapot, c 2001-2002
A box containing a Queen Elizabeth II golden jubilee teapot (no. 1/500) that bears her likeness, modelled by Martin Moore Productions and manufactured by Moorland Pottery. The item has the Spitting Image logo on the underside of its base.

A file containing material relating to a proposed children's television adaptation of Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes poems. Items include, but are not limited to: a partial draft script for the first episode, Little Red Riding Hood, written by Dahl; and correspondence between Spitting Image Productions Limited and Dahl, Dahl's literary agent, Murray Pollinger; and Tony Fantozzi at the William Morris Agency.

A fibreglass mould for the Spitting Image puppet head of the co-creator of the show, Roger Law (F379).
Roger Law Puppet Head, c 1994
A latex foam puppet head with glass eyes of Roger Law, co-creator of the British satirical television series, Spitting Image (SI/1256). This puppet head was used on the show when a generic angry man or a homeless person was needed in a scene. After the series finished, this puppet head was displayed in a number of Spitting Image and Roger Law-related exhibitions.

A plaster mould relating to the Ronald Reagan rubber head made for the Ronald and Nancy Reagan 'Sleeping Partners' pair of slippers, produced by Linden Cards and Gifts Limited. The design within the mould was done by the Spitting Image Workshop artist, David Stoten.

A file containing two examples of a treatment [a written summary for a television show idea] for a proposed children's television programme, Ronnie and Reggie Crow. These characters were originally used in the Spitting Image Productions Limited/HIT Entertainment six-episode television series, Winjin' Pom.

A Rose d'Or de Montreux certificate, presented to Spitting Image and Central Independent Television. The certificate states that the jury of the 25th competition 'a attribué une mention' to Central for the programme.
Round the Bend, 1988
A file containing four plastic sleeves with 63mm photographic transparencies, and colour photographs, which feature portrait and group images of puppets made by the Spitting Image Workshop for the British children's television series, Round the Bend (SI/1129 to 1134). This series was produced by Hat Trick Productions and ran for three seasons, between 1989 and 1991.
