Sleeping Partners Slippers, c 1987-1988
Scope and Contents
Two pairs of 'Sleeping Partners' slippers made by Linden Cards and Gifts Limited, which include plastic heads in the likeness of Margaret Thatcher and Neil Kinnock, and Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. The plastic heads were designed by the Spitting Image Workshop. Also present is a rubber/silicone mould and a plaster mould, relating to the plastic heads made for other pairs of slippers, which are not represented in the archive.
As well as the two pairs of slippers found within the archive, three other pairs were also made featuring the likeness of the following individuals: Prince Charles [now King Charles III] and Diana, Princess of Wales; Ronald and Nancy Reagan; and George H. W. and Barbara Bush.
