Photographic Material, 1960 - 1968, c 1980-c early 2000s
Scope and Contents
Spitting Image Productions Limited-related photographic material, ranging from colour and black and white photographs to 63mm transparencies, 35mm projector slides, contact prints and negatives. A broad spectrum of subject matter are covered by the items present, including, but not limited to: personnel and premises, Spitting Image and other Television and short-film productions, merchandise publications and ceramics, and commercials produced for external companies. There are also slides and other items relating to a proposed university course on puppet making that Roger Law pitched to Australian universities, during a work/personal visit to the country in 1996.
The vast majority of items are 63mm transparencies, which are mostly held together in plastic sleeves that are labelled with various information, including an image's original 'SI' reference number. These reference numbers can be used to search entries within the 'The Bible' [see TBC], which hold further background information on an image.

Arrangement
Due to the way the SIPL photographic material was bundled together, with transparencies, negatives and photographs in many cases being mixed together; this series has been given a fairly flat hierarchical structure. However, a decision was made to place all publication-related material together into their own sub-series.
Separated Materials
