Roger Law Day File, 1995 - 1997
Scope and Contents
A file containing original letters and faxes sent to Roger Law, and copies of such items sent by Law, mostly relating to his work for and position at Spitting Image Productions Limited. Also present are accompanying documentation, such as proposals for television projects. Topics covered in the letters include, but are not limited to: requests for employment; reference letters for former employees; interviews for television programmes; Law's involvement in exhibitions and lectures; the packing and storage of Spitting Image puppets and moulds, following the end of the show; commercials and other work undertaken by SIPL/its subsidiaries; overtures by those wishing to collaborate with Law on television and other projects; and the closure of the Arts Council's film, video and broadcasting department. There is also a number of personal letters between Law and artist, Julian Allen, around the time the latter became the Illustration Chair at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
There is also another file, which holds a CV for a prospective employee. This item is closed until 2068.
