Scope and Contents
A collection of puppets, puppet heads and small hand puppets used in the British satirical television series, Spitting Image.
The vast majority of puppets for the show were sold at two auctions held by Sotheby's in 2000 and 2001. The puppets of Diana, Princess of Wales, and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother were not put up for sale, on the request of officials of the Royal Family.
