Biography
Hsu Hou Yu worked for Malcolm & Co., Shanghai, as a practical electric wiring mechanic, having trained at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He joined Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd in 1932, working for the company and the Jardine Engineering Corporation Ltd in Hong Kong and Shanghai. He became the Joint Managing Director of the Jardine Engineering Corporation Ltd at Hong Kong, and was a Director of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd from 1961 until his retirement in 1983.
