Douglas Charles Berkeley Nelson was employed in the Stores Department of the Indo-China Steam Navigation Co. Ltd, 1939-1941. He joined the Import Department of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd in 1946, and worked subsequently for the company's Taipei Agency. He retired in 1971.
