Promotional Book Stand and Bin, 1985
A cardboard promotional stand and book bin for the publication, The Appalling Disrespectful Spitting Image Book. The stand features the Michael Heseltine 'Action Mad Man' puppet illustration, which depicts Heseltine in military gear and accompanied by a wolverine with a studded collar (SI/218 (a)). The photographic image of the Heseltine illustration was taken by Mark Westwood.
The stand and book bin come in four parts.

A file containing two examples of a promotional leaflet, along with a proof for an advert in The Sunday Times Magazine, relating to a Margaret Thatcher 10-year anniversary toby jug, which commemorated her first 10 years as prime minister. The leaflet was produced by the manufacturer of the jug, Glazed Expressions, and features photographs taken by John Lawrence Jones and Andy de Emmony, including an image of the jug's modeller, Pablo Bach.
Promotional Posters, c 1994-1995
Four promotional posters for the Screwball Films' short animation film, The Big Story (SI/595). Two of the posters are a medium/large size, while the other two posters are a small/medium size. All have the same artwork design, which features the title of the production, along with credits, and an image of a Kirk Douglas claymation model.
Proposal Artwork for Attractions, 1989-c early 1990s
Original artwork produced by the Spitting Image Workshop, which were used as part of proposal/feasibility documentation for proposed attractions involving Spitting Image Productions Limited, including: Spitting Image-themed attractions in London and Blackpool, and a naval-themed attraction based at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London.

Proposed Australian University Puppet Making Course, 1996
A file containing photographic transparencies and 35mm slides, along with some documentation, relating to a proposed university course on puppet making. During a trip to Australia in 1996, Roger Law visited at least one university to discuss a potential course on puppet making, which he would teach, in partnership with the organisation, International Specialised Skills. The photographic material present appears to be part of that proposal.
Proposed Television and Film Productions, 1987 - 1997
Material relating to Spitting Image Productions Limited's television and short-film activities, which never went beyond initials talks between potential collaborators or past the development stage. These projects ranged from children's television programmes to comedy sketch shows. There is also documentation relating to a proposed SIPL/BBC Arena documentary on the various international Spitting Image franchises.

A box containing numerous pieces of paper that hold multiple colour photographs upon them, which feature headshots of Spitting Image puppets. These headshots are in alphabetical order, going from 'A' to 'L' [there are no headshots for puppets whose names start with 'M' to 'Z']. There are also headshots for 'generic' and animal puppets. These photographs appear to have been taken for identification purposes.
