Edward Dent: Letters to him

Scope and Contents The collection consists almost exclusively of letters received by Dent between 1914 and 1918, and probably sorted and weeded by him subsequently. Several letters have been endorsed by Dent with identifications and comments, and he has also supplied biographical notes on most of the correspondents, although these are not always reliable. Osbourn, The Royal Army Medical Corps (2 D.A.C., B E 7) to [Edward Walter Maunder, no place given], 7 September 1916, was enclosed and is now stored in a separate envelope. Captain Osbourn was at the frontline, using 'The Stars as Guides for Night Marching', and felt Maunder should advertise the book more.
