Scope and Contents

Semi-official letters from Jardine, Matheson & Co. (Japan) Ltd, Tokyo, to Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, with enclosed letters and papers, including monthly agency reports and returns and minutes of meetings of the Directors of Jardine, Matheson & Co. (Japan) Ltd in Tokyo. Most of the semi-official letters are originals, but there are also some copies. The correspondents are I.F. Aucott, M.G. Barrow, H.D.M. Barton, N.J. Booker, D.I. The originals of the letters from Tokyo to Hong Kong for 1964 have not been received, but J1/252/20 contains Matheson & Co. Ltd's copies of these letters.
