Joseph Needham was appointed a member of the International Scientific Commission to assist with the investigation of alleged bacterial warfare by American forces in Korea and China. He arrived in China in June 1952. The first meeting was held on 23 Jun. 1952 and the final meeting was held on 31 Aug. 1952. The concluding 'Report of the International Scientific Commission for the Investigation of the Facts Concerning Bacterial Warfare in Korea and China' was published in Beijing in 1952....
