Scope and Contents
These are public health posters relating to campaigns against pests (rats, flies, lice and mosquitos) and propaganda posters relating to accusations of the use of biological warfare (insects as disease vectors) during the Korean War.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Two of the posters were extremely brittle and fragile, with tears along the folded lines. These two posters, and others with damaged edges, were repaired by Bridget Warrington in 2019. At this time all the posters were cleaned and a bespoke conservation-grade folder was made to hold them.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The posters were brought from China by Joseph Needham in the autumn of 1952.
