Scope and Contents This relates to a lease from William de Hoo of Barnham to William Hawethorn, parson of Barnham and concerns a fishery at Barnham with enclosure as out in the charter. (The 'charter' presumably incorporates the lease, but the description suggests that it also contains a bond, with this as the conditional defeasance.) Hawethorn concedes that if he, his heirs, and assigns have possession of the fishery with free access and exit from Michaelmas last past for ten years, charter not to be invoked....
