General and Lady Byng, 1925 - 1926
145 x 95 mm. Byng served as Governor-General of Canada from 1921 to 1926. The dating of the photograph is unclear, since it bears two dates on the reverse, 28 June 1925 and 1926. 'Farewell' has also been inscribed, suggesting that the latter date for the event may be correct, since Byng's term ended in 1926, and it may have commemorated his departure.
