The archives comprise the full range of institutional operational records, together with the personal papers of several individuals - James Stuart, Helen C. Colman, Richard G. Moulton, D.H.S. Cranage and G.F. Hickson - closely associated with the organisation.

These documents were given to the Archives Centre after the MRJ papers and although they relate to MRJ they are not his personal papers or correspondence.

This series contains articles by authors other than Cooke. The majority are articles about Cooke and include reviews of his works and press clippings. A handful of articles are not about Cooke but are on subjects which (as he chose to keep them) it is assumed were of interest to him.

This series contains drafts, preprints and published works on science subjects, by authors other than Hawking. Includes both technical works on original research and works written for a popular audience.

This series contains manuscript, typescript, carbon copies and photocopies of poems, prose and musical scores by writers other than Rosamond Lehmann. Published poems and prose are catalogued as RNL/6. Poems sent to Rosamond Lehmann with letters are catalogued with the correspondence as RNL/2.
