Biographical / Historical
Ian Melville Stephens (1903-1984) came up to King's in 1921 from Winchester, earned a First in Natural Sciences part I in 1924 and a first in History part II in 1925. He was a Fellow from 1952 to 1958. He lived in India 1930-52 where he edited 'The Statesman'. He published several volumes of memoirs of his time on the Indian subcontinent.
