Biography

John Axson Heywood worked for Courtaulds & Co. Ltd, London, before joining Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd in 1962. He was employed at Hong Kong and Taipei before becoming a Director and the General Manager of Jardine Waugh Ltd in 1970. He was appointed a Director of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd in 1972, and transferred to the company's Hong Kong office in 1976. He became Deputy Managing Director in 1978, and retired from company in 1982.
