The Parliament buildings face down Bourke Street and have an ornate frontage with steps leading up to Doric columns and facings of Mount Difficult stone. Building was started in 1856 and largely completed by the middle of the 1880s.

One of the triumphs of the building, and of the exhibition, was an electricity generator which cost £60,000 to install.

The rest of the images are uncaptioned, but their general locations have been identified by reference to the diary RCMS 353/1.
