Scope and Contents Collection of loose prints consisting of fifteen snapshots, most measuring approximately 85 x 55 mm., and eight postcards (original prints). The photographs have explanatory captions on the reverse; the postcards, which are stamped and postmarked on the print rather than on the reverse, were sent to Rudland's parents, Alderman and Mrs. H. Rudland of Sunderland, from the British South Africa Police Depot at Salisbury. Photographers unknown, but probably Henry Rudland and...

Showing the stone building with wooden verandahs which housed the Legislative Assembly from 1899 onwards. Built in 1895 as the Cecil Hotel it was purchased by the BSACo in 1898. Additions were made to the building in 1938, 1953 and 1970.
