Showing the stone building with wooden verandahs which housed the Legislative Assembly from 1899 onwards. Built in 1895 as the Cecil Hotel it was purchased by the BSACo in 1898. Additions were made to the building in 1938, 1953 and 1970.

A series of watercolours commissioned from the Rhodesian artist Mrs Gilbert Stephenson to be used in colouring lantern slides to illustrate the fifth handbook, A.J. Sargent, 'South Africa: seven lectures (London, 1914). Stephenson had been recommended by the British South Africa Company.

Collection of loose prints, most mounted on card and measuring approximately 205 x 150 mm with typewritten captions pasted to the mounts. The captions have been used as titles and have been recorded as found. Prints 3 and 7 are by Ronald D.K. Hadden and British Overseas Airways Corporation (B.O.A.C.) respectively.
