Th Prime Minister was Godfrey Martin Huggins, later 1st Viscount Malvern (1883-1971). The Governor was Sir Herbert Stanley (1872-1955).

Southern African tour, 1948 - 1950
Forty-five black and white photographs relating to the Aid tour of 1950. There are 27 captioned portrait photographs of the members of the tour party taken c. 1948-1950. The remaining images comprise group pictures and scenes from the schoolboys' time in Africa, some labelled and dated, including two mounted on card. There is an accompanying manuscript list of names.
Southern Rhodesia, 1934 - 1936
When the RES Headquarters was rebuilt in 1934-36, gifts of timber for panelling and furnishing were obtained from Empire Governments, companies and individuals. Many were destroyed during the bombing of 1941 and replacement gifts were received. This file coordinates pre and post-war correspondence.
