236 x 186 mm. A view of Somoto's Kraal near Fort Victoria with a small group of villagers and an unidentified European (not positively identified, but probably Francis Balfour, the Pioneer Column's Anglican Chaplain) in the foreground. The photograph was taken about August 20.
