297 x 86 mm. Showing a large crowd of European spectators watching Zulu warriors and dancers awaiting a train (centre of print) which is presumably carrying Chief Mholoe.

206 x 156 mm. Showing a group of farmers of the Magaliesburg Farmers Association watching an African labourer place bundles of tobacco on a pair of scales.

They are uncaptioned but most have been identified from books on the Cape and on South African architecture; 25-31 are almost certainly photographs of Zulu peoples; the remainder are less clearly identified. The remainder of the caption reads '... as far as mountain at entrance to Houts Bay looking south west from Kloof Road to Camps Bay. Sea fog coming on from westward 4pm about 600ft above sea. April 1867.'

291 x 241 mm. A view looking along the valley towards the steep-sided Majuba Hill, scene of the British defeat on February 27 1881 and the death of General Colley, the commander. The Boers made their first assault from the steep western slope. The print is signed 'E. Caney Maritzburg' and has the caption: 'West side of Majuba Hill', and is also numbered 'No. 17.'
