[Tomb of President Paulus Kruger in Pretoria], 1900 - 1910
152 x 205 mm. Showing the grave of President Kruger in the old cenetry at Pretoria, consisting of a massive black marble tombstone topped by a white bust of him (1825-1904). To the left of his grave, in the same plot, is the tomb of his second wife Gezina Susanna Frederika Wilhelmina Du Plessis (1831-1901) whom he had married in 1847. Kruger died in Switzerland and was embalmed and temporarily laid in a vault beoire finally being moved to Pretoria.
