The images are of birds, with the exception of two koala bears, two kangaroos and one opossum. The vast majority are the work of three authors, signed Artah, M. Simpson and Koddi. Artah is Violet Artah Bartlett, an artist specialising in Australian ornithology who worked in Sydney during the 1920s. It has proved impossible as yet...

Queen Street was the first thoroughfare in Brisbane to have tramways; the work was started in January 1885 and opened for general on traffic 12th August.
