Malcolm MacDonald papers
The largest part of the collection consists of photocopies made from the Malcolm MacDonald Papers prior to their transfer to the University of Durham in 1986, comprising correspondence, interviews and other biographical material. These papers are supplemented by some original material, including MacDonald's autobiography.

Malta photographs taken by Pauline Fothergill
A collection of photographs of memorials, buildings and monuments in Malta. Pauline Fothergill paid several visits to Malta and, at the Librarian's request, took photographs of a number of local memorials. The following list is, firstly, of negatives (1-42) and later of prints (43-72), some of which were taken from the negatives. 1-30 are black and white negatives, 31-42 colour. 43-72 are mostly black and white prints.
Malta, the Holy Land, etc
A collection of albumen prints which include views of the Middle East, Malta and Gibraltar by Robertson, Beato and others. The majority are of European works of arts and townscapes (many of the latter unidentified). There are also scenes at Woolwich. Plates 68-80 are uncaptioned and consist of miscellaneous engravings of weaponry, armour and archaeological sites.

At View of Free Pledge with General Court Baron customary and Copyhold Court held at March before Isaac Strong, Deputy Steward, it is found by Homage that 1 Feb. 1777 Marriott Varnam of Chatteris surrendered certain land in Doddington, to which he was admitted 1758 on the death of his mother, to the use of Thomas Cole of Doddington. At Court Leet and Court Baron it was found by homage that 17 April 1795 Edward Leeds, customary tenant of the manor, surrendered certain land at Caxton to the use of Francis Kidman junior of Caxton and his heirs for ever. Francis Kidman prayed admittance and was admitted. Subscribed by Henry Lawrence Maydwell, Steward of the Manor.

It is presented by Homage that 23 Ap. 1803 Amphillis Boycatt of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk (formerly Amphillis Towerson), by her attorney surrendered certain lands in Sutton Wash, to which she was admitted in fee after a recovery 22 Ap. 1803, to the use of Ann Goodman wife of Simon Goodman of Elm. At View of Frankpledge and Court Baron before Daniel Smyth, Steward of the Manor. Grant to Thomas Richards, customary tenant of the manor, and Maria his wife of certain lands for the term of their natural lives or the longer liver of them, afterwards to the heirs of the body of Maria Richards by Thomas Richards, failing which issue to the heirs of Thomas Richards. They had previously been admitted to the same lands in 1677 and had surrendered them. Subscribed by Daniel Smyth.
