The teapot was modelled by Luck & Flaw. It is unclear whether this item was made by the original manufacturers of the teapot, English Ironstone Tableware and Gill Wing Ceramics, or if it is one of the later examples made by Carlton Ware, which handled production in 1987.

Scope and Contents A set of ceramic mugs modelled by Luck & Flaw, which bear a resemblance to the following politicians: Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, leader of the Labour Party, Michael Foot; and President Ronald Reagan. A set of nine ceramic eggcups, modelled by Luck & Flaw, which bear caricature faces of the following British politicians and members of the royal family: Margaret Thatcher, Neil Kinnock, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, two copies of a baby Prince William, and a baby Princess Beatrice. All eggcups have a white glossy finish.

This set is incomplete, missing those for Prince Charles [afterwards King Charles III] and Diana, Princess of Wales.
