Carlton Ware Papers, 1986 - 1992
Scope and Contents
A bundle of paperwork relating to Luck & Flaw's business relationship with Carlton Ware, which took over the manufacturing, marketing and distribution rights of Luck & Flaw's ceramic ware, between 1987 and 1988. Topics include, but are not limited to: Luck & Flaw's initial intention to contract the aforementioned rights to Audley Porcelain; negotiations with Carlton Ware; revised and finalised versions of the partnership's contract; orders for ceramic ware from third parties; sales royalties; the cancellation of Carlton Ware's contract, due to Luck & Flaw's discontent over the former's conduct; Carlton Ware's insolvency in 1989; and the return of ceramic ware blocks, cases and moulds.
Also present is a small amount of paperwork relating to James Kent Limited's work on a baby [Princess Beatrice] eggcup and a Ronald Reagan mug in 1988, and that company's insolvency in 1989. There is also material relating to the marketing of Luck & Flaw's ceramics.
