A ceramic teapot with accompanying lid that is made in the image of Margaret Thatcher's head. The teapot has a white, matte finish.

This teapot was modelled by Luck & Flaw, and was manufactured by either English Ironstone Tableware or Gill Wing Ceramics.

Scope and Contents

A ceramic teapot with accompanying lid that is made in the image of Margaret Thatcher's head. The teapot has a glossy, white finish, which has a slight green tint.

The teapot was modelled by Luck & Flaw. It is unclear whether this item was made by the original manufacturers of the teapot, English Ironstone Tableware and Gill Wing Ceramics, or if it is one of the later examples made by Carlton Ware, which handled production in 1987.

Scope and Contents A file containing manuscript and typescript letters regarding the development and production of Luck & Flaw's Margaret Thatcher teapot. A large portion of the letters received are from Brunswick Ceramic Services (BCS), which designed the mould for the teapot and worked with a number of potteries to produce samples, before it appears both Gill Wing Ceramics and English Ironstone Company were settled upon to manufacture the finished product. Scope and Contents A set of ceramic mugs modelled by Luck & Flaw, which bear a resemblance to the following politicians: Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, leader of the Labour Party, Michael Foot; and President Ronald Reagan. Prince Charles Loving Cups, 1981

Scope and Contents

Two copies of a Prince Charles [afterwards King Charles III] loving cup, which was modelled by Luck & Flaw in 1981, as memorabilia for the royal wedding between Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. Both loving cups have a white glossy finish. However, the finish on one of the cups has a darker/slight green tint.

The manufacturer of the loving cups is likely Gill Wing Ceramics.

A set of nine ceramic eggcups, modelled by Luck & Flaw, which bear caricature faces of the following British politicians and members of the royal family: Margaret Thatcher, Neil Kinnock, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, two copies of a baby Prince William, and a baby Princess Beatrice. All eggcups have a white glossy finish.

This set is incomplete, missing those for Prince Charles [afterwards King Charles III] and Diana, Princess of Wales.
