Papers regarding the refurbishment of the Equatorial Group Telescopes, concerned principally with the photometry telescope planned for installation in Dome 'C' and discussing the most suitable type of telescope. There are correspondence and memoranda of R.O. Redman of the Cambridge Observatories, B.E.J. Pagel and Sir Richard Woolley; notes and calculations by Pagel; and a graph of results obtained using the Cambridge Schmidt Camera, dated 22-23 May 1955.

Includes V, X, Y and Z sized sheets, V being the largest. Many (if not all) relate to instruments designed for the Isaac Newton Telescope at La Palma, including drawings of the Image Photon Counting System (I.P.C.S) which was first used in March 1984.
