Tom W. Broadbent: Papers and photographs on the history of Grubb Parsons, c.1920-1982
Scope and Contents
Tom Webster Broadbent first worked for Charles Parsons at Heaton Works before he was taken on as Draughtsman and later, Chief Draughtsman, at Grubb Parsons after Parsons purchased the company in 1925. This series is comprised of Broadbent's personal photographs and papers recording his work for Grubb Parsons at the Observatory of Pop Ivan, Poland, and on the PZT at Neuchatel, Switzerland. It includes a career scrapbooks, photographs and letters.
