Papers regarding the refurbishment of the Yapp 36-inch Reflecting Telescope and the 30-inch Reflecting Telescope, concerned primarily with Cassegrain grating spectrographs, and including minutes of a meeting and designs for the apparatus. The papers also include correspondence between G.E. Manville; G.M. Sisson of Sir Howard Grubb, Parsons and Co. Ltd; Bausch and Lomb; H. Butler of the Royal Observatory, Edinburgh; the United States Naval Observatory; B.E.J. Pagel; Sir Richard Woolley; and O.J. Eggen of the Royal Greenwich Observatory.
