Papers on the Yapp Telescope, 1958 - 1960
Scope and Contents
Papers regarding the refurbishment of the Yapp 36-inch Reflecting Telescope, concerned primarily with the two Schmidt cameras on the Yapp grating spectrograph. There is correspondence between G.E. Manville; G.M. Sisson of Sir Howard Grubb, Parsons and Co. Ltd; the Admiralty; B.E.J. Pagel; Sir Richard Woolley; and R. Atkinson. There are also queries arising from the ordering of equipment and its design, and drawings of mirrors for the Cassegrain collimator, the f3.5 spherical mirror, the f3.5 and f1.75 Schmidt cameras and the f1.75 spherical mirror.
