Photographs taken in 1920 at the British School at Athens and the British excavation at Mycenae. Images feature the family (wife and daughters) of Garrett (Gerry) Droppers, the American Ambassador to Greece from 1914 to 1920. They are pictured both in the gardens of the British School at Athens and at Mycenae during the British excavations there.

There is also a handwritten index card at the front providing information on Lord Taylour's filing system.

In 1960 Lord Taylour excavates at Mycenae. This file shows a range of views of the excavatory process, including finds in their findspots, partially excavated walls, corridor rooms, plaster layers, ramps, site plans, as well as various images of ceramic pottery and images taken from inside the Treasury of Atreus. There are also slides of the Theatre of Epidaurus and a handwritten index card at the front providing information on Lord Taylour's filing system.

This file charters Lord Taylour's excavations at Mycenae in 1962, including site plans, images of objects discovered in situ, and the excavatory process in general. Images of trenches, plastered walls, progress made, ceramic pottery and rooms uncovered all ensue, as well images of donkeys by one of the grave circles and workers eating breakfast.

N. B. The title by Leake is as inscribed on the cover but at the rear, the notebook has been inverted and a different travelogue recorded by him, beginning at Alexandria, continuing via Baalbek, Damascus, Homs, Hama, Aleppo, then to to Athens.
Includes pencil sketches of Mycenae’s Lion Gate and tholos tomb (Treasury of Atreus).
Cerigo is known today as Kythira.
