As chaplain to Lord Howard of Escrick and tutor to his eldest son Tyndall has not time to perform the exercises for the degree; the request is that he be given five years to fulfil the obligation.
Tyndall proceeded B.D. in 1639, almost, if not quite, within the statutory period.
