Facing the camera is a group of wives and children standing on and in front of the veranda of a bungalow. The third side of the square is made up of a detachment of African troops. In the centre a clergyman stands next to a flag mast. Robert Thorne Coryndon (1870-1925) can be seen at the extreme left of the bungalow group. ...

208 x 147 mm. Showing spectators gathered under a makeshift awning in the exhibition ground. Bremersdorp (now known as Manzini) was named after one Albert Bremer who in 1887 opened a store there. From 1890-1902 (when it was succeeded by Mbabane) Bremersdorp was the administrative centre of the country.
