‘False witnesses of Ipoh’, 1960 - 1962
An account of a legal case heard by Clayton during 1904 or 1905 concerning the failure to pay a debt, in which the defendant’s claim to have repaid the money was supported by eleven false witnesses. Clayton exposed their perjury by clever interrogation (2 sheets).

Marks (1926) provides the following description: 'Alongside the wharf lay the Flying Dragon, a small coasting vessel, which has run between Penang and Perak for the last forty years: carrying pigs, ducks, blachan, durians, dried fish and unwashed native passengers, and also perhaps more smells per ton than any vessel of her size.'
