144 x 92 mm. A view looking across gardens towards the Government Offices, a two storey complex in white stone with a pedimented façade facing the road. The exact date of construction has not been determined, unless these are the Town Hall Offices which were built 1912-1913.

Scope and Contents 105 x 61 mm. A view from the drive of a row of stone bungalows on Taiping Hill. The location is possibly Maxwells Hill where (F.M.S. Annual Report, 1926): there are eight comfortable bungalows at an elevation of between 3,400 and 3,650 feet. The Cottage (the bungalow of the Chief Secretary to Government) and The Box (the bungalow of the British Resident, Perak) are on two peaks at heights of 4,530 feet and 4,-76 feet respectively. The rainfall of the hill is high, but the flower gardens...
