Scope and Contents 160 x 232 mm. Photographic copy of a letter (in Greek) written in the aftermath of Ottoman reprisals against Greek Cypriots for their support for the Greek War of Independence. The letter is probably dated 5 December 1821 and bears the stamp of Trymithountos Spiridon, the Bishop of Trymithountos, who had escaped the executions of prominent Greek Cypriot religious and social figures and fled to Europe.
