Permanent Building-from Nicholson Street, 1880
290 x 234 mm. A view looking over the lake in Carlton Gardens towards the building with its huge central dome. Designed by the architects Reed and Barnes, it covered over 20 acres together with the temporary annexes. One of the triumphs of the building, and of the exhibition, was an electricity generator which cost £60,000 to install.

340 x 262 mm. A view of the entrance to Petersham Station from the road outside. This brick building with stone facings is dated 1885 above the main doorway. Petersham, on the suburban line to Parramatta, was on the first route to be opened in September 1855 and this plate shows the new station built on the same site.

Album of mostly 80 x 54 mm prints. There is a brief list describing items 1-98, which document the trip from Southampton to South Africa, travel in South Africa, and the visit to Southern Rhodesia. Many photos do not appear in the exact numerical order given in the listing. The rest of the images are uncaptioned, but their general locations have been identified by reference to the diary RCMS 353/1.

Photographs of Malaya, 1936 - 1940
There are four main sets of photographs: jungle-dwelling Sakai men, a beach at Port Dickson, the Buckleys' bungalow at Swettenham Road, Kuala Lumpur, where they lived 1937-1940, and the Cameron Hills. These are followed by a number of individual photographs dating from the Buckleys' time in Malaya, with one taken in Australia. All of the photographs are in black-and-white.
