Scope and Contents

Print reproductions of Frome's South Australian watercolours and sketches, with a few works from Canada and Mauritius, and a portrait print of Frome himself. This section also includes copies of works relating to South Australia by other artists that Frome had acquired. A catalogue, 'The Australian collection of General E.C. Frome in the Royal Commonwealth Society' written by RCS Librarian Donald Simpson, is stored with the collection, along with a listing by R.G. Appleyard 'Captain E.C. Frome, R.E., and his sketches of South Australia, 1839-1849,' 'Bulletin of the Art Gallery of South Australia' 34 (1972).
