Grand Hotel, Melbourne, 1885 - 1891
198 x 147 mm. A view of the façade of the hotel, which looks on to Spring Street (and is now the Windsor Hotel). Built at the height of the land boom, it is an elaborate Gothic building with gables and arches, and cost £110,000 to construct, with another £30,000 spent on fittings, including the novelty of hydraulic lifts.

Granny Dunn, 1865 - 1869
60 x 98 mm. A carte de visite full length studio portrait of E.J. Dunn's mother, taken at Beechworth, probably in the late 1860's. The backmark reads: 'Photograph by Jas. E. Bray' (James E. Bray), Camp Street, Beechworth. Extra copies 1/6 each or 7/6 per half dozen. Extra copies may be had by sending the above number'. The number '73' has been pencilled on the reverse, presumably by the phgotographer.

A collection of lantern slides of Australia (plus one duplicate). 5-10 are marked 'Commonwealth of Australia' and have serial numbers. 12-22 are marked 'Department of Agriculture and Stock, Brisbane'. The slides' captions have been used as titles and have been recorded as found.
Great Hall, Syd. University, 1895 - 1900
208 x 151 mm. An interior view along the Hall, this time looking west towards the tapestry. The Hall is laid out with desks and chairs for an examination.
Great Hall, Sydney University, 1895 - 1900
209 x 145 mm. An interior view looking east along the Hall, with the stained glass windows and organ at the far end. The Great Hall measures 135 feet by 45 feet and its design is based on Westminster Hall. Arms of the British Universities are carved on the stone corbels which support the roof timbers, and hammer beams project above the corbels, at the end of which are wooden statues of angels. The Hall is generally considered the finest piece of Gothic architecture in Australia.

Two rough, undated pencil sketches with descriptive notes, one on each side of a sheet of paper, 4½'' x 7''. The main writing is not in Frome's hand, but he has added 'Govnt House Sydney' and 'New Govt House Hobart Town'.

270 x 215 mm. Showing a posed group of men, women and children, in formal clothes, standing in front of the steam engine of the pumping station, which is protected by a corrugated iron roof. With a pipeline above the group. Members of the group are slightly out of focus.

275 x 220 mm. A group of men and women posed in front of the lake, which lies about 15 miles west of Renmark. Most of the people pictured can also be identified in the group in Y3082B/12.

205 x 150 mm. View of mine buildings with chimneys and railway line. Boulder is a town on the eastern goldfields, just south of Kalgoorlie, which proved an immensely rich lead, and led to the discovery of the 'Golden Mile', one of the largest gold-bearing areas in the world.

155 x 200 mm. The group contains three men (two identified as ‘F’ and ‘Capt. Hutton’), a woman (‘Nell’) and a boy. It is not clear whether ‘F’ is the same as ‘F.H.H.’ in Y308M/18. Captain Hutton, an elderly man in civilian clothes, has not been found in any biographical work consulted.
