Scope and Contents
A collection of prints of various sizes. The photographs are mostly family portraits and albumen print cartes de visite of leading individuals in South Africa during his time. However, there are also some photographs of his retirement home, Roseneath, showing artifacts he had collected (35-53). The captions have been used as titles and may include language which is offensive, inaccurate or inappropriate. They have been retained to reflect the context of the collection's creation. Captions supplied by the cataloguer are enclosed in square brackets.
