The typewritten caption on the reverse reads 'The school is run by the Native State and all teachers' salaries are paid from the State Treasury. This year the grant is nine hundred and nine pounds from the State Treasury. The staff comprises one Principal and thirteen teachers'.

60 x 100 mm. Full-length seated photograph of Francis Balfour (1846-1924), then Archdeacon of Bloemfontein and later Assistant Bishop of the Diocese. He was at the Mission station at Thaba 'Nchu at Easter 1902 when Amy Wilson visited it.

102 x 59 mm. A view showing the Sultan of Zanzibar, Seyyid Khalifa Bin Harub, and other members of the official party stopping on to the jetty at Chumbe Island for the opening of the new lighthouse. Walking beside the Sultan are Ernest Costley-White, the Acting Resident, and Captain Clement Charlewood, Port Officer for Zanzibar.

165 x 105 mm. . Otumfuo Sir Osei Agymen Prempeh II was the Asantahene or Paramout Chief of Ashante from 1931 until his death on 27 May 1970.
The Asantehene with Bishop Parker of Pretoria, 1931 - 1950
82 x 108 mm. The bishop is returning an item of Ashanti Regalia obtained in 1874. Wilfrid Parker (1883-1966) was Bishop of Pretoria 1933-1950. Otumfuo Sir Osei Agyeman Prempeh II was the Asantahene or Paramout Chief of Ashante from 1931 until his death on 27 May 1970. He was elected to that office on the death of his uncle, Prempeh I.
