Canham album of the Gold Coast [i.e. Ghana] (Miscellaneous), 1938 - 1970
Scope and Contents
Plates 1-3 are historical photographs, 4-6 extracts from the 'Illustrated London News', 7 an important telegram to Sir Gordon Guggisberg, and 8-12 snapshots measuring approximately 85 x 60 mm. 16-20 are sepia postcards in portrait or landscape format. The remainder show events of 1941-1950. The caption to 1 is derived from an inscription on the back, as are 13-15 and 21-22. The details of 23 are from the mount of the photograph.
These were previously housed in a blue album, measuring 295 x 310 mm., with transparent wrap-over cover to pages. They are now individually sleeved in clear inert plastic and housed in a grey archive box, along with Y30448Q and Y30448R.
