Scope and Contents From the Fonds: An album recording the visit of Lord and Lady Hewart to South Africa. The album is inscribed 'To Lord and Lady Hewart: A Momento [sic] of a Trip to South Africa'. It was presumably the work and gift of a friend who travelled with them as it covers the entire journey from leaving Southampton to their return. The photographs are amateur work and are fully described in captions written in white ink, not always easily legible, on the black pages of the album. The captions have been recorded...
